Working On My Webshop - But Need Time

Hello you guys

 

To be honest - Its my first time working with Prestashop.

Since I've started for one week ago, I have gone in to a few trouble, which makes the job take longer.

So my plan is, to make a temperary "main site", where I can make people subscribe, and have a small intro about my upcoming launch of website, and also get the first discountcode.

BUT, how to get this mainpage?

You could enable maintenance mode and edit the file /themes/<theme name>/maintenance.tpl

Sorry for just one more question.. But don't I have to deactivate the maintenance?

Also, the file you want me to find - do I have to go to ftp server?

Sorry? Hey, this is exactly what the forum is for. To help others! 

 

Maintenance mode should still be turned on. You can allow yourself access by adding your own IP address. There's a simple button for that on the configuration page "Settings > Maintenance".

 

Yes, you will need to connect to your server through FTP and find the file.

I only need a temporary welcome page, where visitor Can subscribe for newsletter and be THE first to get a discountcode when the webshop is ready. You get me? :-)
