[SOLVED] backoffice not coming up after install

Hi all, im really new to this - sorry - my install went fine through all the steps - my home page comes up fine but my backoffice admin panel times out for some reason - I have deleted the install folder and also renaed the admin folder but it didnt help... would really appreciate any suggestions - have windows 2008, IIS 7, mysql - Thank you also have included a printscreen of the error . Thanks

If you did what the install asks and renamed the admin folder to something else then you need to amend the login url to take that into consideration.

ie Instead of admin/login.php it should be admin12234/login.php

it originally told me that back office was here...

http://localhost/prestashop/admin/login.php?redirect=index.php

so are you saying my address should be admin12234/login.php

http://localhost/prestashop/admin12234/login.php?redirect=index.php which didnt work ....

It did give me a random number alright?. did this have any significance? can I get it back?..

The address you need to enter is

http://localhost/prestashop/admin/login.php?redirect=index.php

but replace admin with whatever you changed the name of the admin folder to.

If you cant remember what you changed the folder to just browse your localhost directory to see what its called.
