coreygun
Hi, i'm new to prestashop, and have taken over the role of sorting out somebody's site as the previous web editor went awol. It has the 'Home' button as the first link in the Top Horizontal Menu' module, which shows all the categories when you hover over it to navigate, and links to the actual homepage when you click on it. I've changed the button to say 'Shop' instead of 'Home', but I want to make it link to a new CMS page (I've created a blank CMS page for now for this) which will show images for each category. I've seen other tutorials which show how to do this by editing the 'blockpermanentlinks-header.tpl' file or whatever, but these files don't have the existing list of links that are in our menu. I was expecting to see a
with a list item for each link in our menu, but it doesn't. It only has a
for 'Contact' and 'Sitemap' which arent even in our menu! I've never encountered a content managment system that makes it so hard to change the simplest links. I hope somebody can show me that it is in fact easy to do this! Thanks. Paulito
Hello Sorry if I have not understood your question but the top horizontal menu configure page allows you to add any link in the menu and, of course, this link can point to wherever you want. coreygun
You're right, I can add the new CMS page I made to that menu, but I won't be able to add the hover-over category list to that CMS page link. This is why I want to edit where the 'Shop/home' button directs to, as this one has the category list already built in.
