Novella85
Hello everyone, I have a problem with a professional module that connects Prestashop to Ebay and no one was able to help me till now.The problem is that the products are synchronized properly, but without photo gallery. Doing various tests with the technical assistance of the module, Ebay and my server (Xlogic), we found that Ebay server cannot reachs the photos because they have https extension. In fact if I change the link, and instead of https I write http,Ebay can reachs the photo and makes it display correctly. But if I post the link in the browser with https is displayed normally. I use SSL Comodo and it is activated only for the login and the payment pages. Also I notice that if i see the links of the photos of my site they haven't the https,so why they go with the https extension on Ebay? The problem is : -the technical assistance of the module cannot help me because it says that the module successfully creates the picture's links and they are normally accessible on the browsers. -Ebay cannot help me because they receive from my server the error "500-server not available", so they have no way to correct the error -technical assistance of my server cannot help me because they have no found problems on the protocl server side and aren't set any type of blocks. So what am I supposed to do? Disable SSL? I do not think a professional solution. Help me please, I do not know what I could try! Thank you all. Involic
Good day! As far as we know ebay not allow transfer images in https format. The solution is easy you need to send images with "http" instead of https. As far as I understand this is work correctly for you. What module do you use? Novella85
Hello, thank you for your reply. I use the module Fastbay.I don't know how to send the images without https,it should be automatic because in my website the link of the images are with http!Only in the login page and in the payment pages the https is activated. Involic
For this request I can recommend contact module seller (developer). As I can see http://developer.ebay.com/devzone/xml/docs/reference/ebay/uploadsitehostedpictures.html this ebay request start support https, so maybe this is more related to your hosting.Anyway developer of module know where they can change https to http for image uploading. You can try to search inside module source for something like new Link(null, Tools::getProtocol()); and then near for something like $linkInstance->getImageLink($name, $ids, $type); And you need to do something like $imgPathValue = str_replace("http://", "https://", $imgPathValue); So this will force to use http instead of https for image link Edited January 14, 2016 by Involic (see edit history)

Mantovani Maurizio
sgazeri
hi there! Hope you were able to have your issue resolved. I fully agree with you above. My biggest frustration is that there are so many different parties involved to help resolve issues (hosting providor, Prestashop infrastructure, prestashop modules) - they are all different. I spend hours trying to trouble shoot issues. There are too few developers in my area who can help me. They often need a 5 week lead time.... which for me may mean 5 week down time. I rarely get responses to questions on forums and am left with crippling errors in my webshop. I really wish Prestashop would do something to mitigate this for exisiting customers using the platform - especially for those who have already spent hundreds on a theme, plugins, customizations etc.
Andy UK AIR
Good afternoon, how do you change the module settings so that the {main_image} gets a https links instead of a http link? Ver 1.54 Ebay no longer allow http links so i need to change this. kind regards Andy

Prestalia
hello, the last version 5.5.7 of fastbay don't have any issue with http/https, if you have an old version you must active zen option for download the last. regards
Andy UK AIR
Hello, I bought this module in September 2017 , already Ebay from June 2017 had this policy of no http images but only https images. So I should have already had a correct module for this policy. I do not think it is fair to pay £135.00 to update the fasbay module via Zen to comply with ebay listings which came out in june 2017, 3 months BEFORE I paid for my module. I should have been given a working module that is correct for ebay. I should not have to pay more for this. kind regards Andy

Ebay said in 2016 that only images hosted on https sites would be allowed. also ebay announced the rule change in SPRING 2016 , 18 months before i bought the module, and then enforced the rule from JUNE 2017 , 3 months before I bought the module. so you must agree surely that the module that I paid for should have worked correctly to comply with Ebay changes. As a proffesional courtesy the module should have worked correctly from the start and any bugs should be corrected free of charge. I came to your software because it looke proffesional and I expected any bugs expecially for this expensive product like FastBay to be corrected free, not have to pay £135.00!! So what as a company can you do about this??
