Create New Product Attribute Types?

I'm using Presta 1.6 and am in need of a custom product attribute type. Nothing major, just need a simple <input type="number"> to appear on one product in particular.

 

Looking to make a rule that says: 'if customer order quantity is >= 2, then display '<label>Extra stringers?</label><input type="number"/>'.  I could do this no prob with a radio or dropdown, but presta doesn't offer a numbered input option.

 

I'm assuming this can be done with a plugin or something, but am having no luck with searches on google.

 

Anyone have any input on this?

sadly speaking - for such feature it will be necessary to apply major changes to the core

in this case it's better to use attributes wizard pro module
