kasperfogh
Hello fellow Prestashop users! I've searched google and the forums for a solution for this, but haven't succeded in finding a solution yet. I'm using Prestashop 1.6.0.9, and we have just moved the site to a new server. The thing is, old the "old" images are working, but new products are not showing any images. I've tried regenerating thumbnails, cleared cache, tried setting permissions on the img folder, i've looked in the .htaccess file, but none of these has helped out. My shop is: http://getvolt.dk/festivals An example of image that works: http://getvolt.dk/280-home_default/t-in-the-park-2016.jpg An example of image that doesn't work: http://getvolt.dk/330-home_default/reading-festival-2016.jpg Reading festival, leeds festival and "musik i lejet" is not working, and these have all been added after the migration to another server. This leads me to think that it still has something to do with permissions, but I don't get any errors when regenerating thumbnails, so I'm not sure what's going on. Hopefully someone knows how to resolve this issue. - Kasper, Volt
bellini13
After you moved servers, did you update BOTH the Domain and Base URL in the back office SEO and URL page? Also did you try to delete the old .htaccess file and have it re-created? The reason I ask is because your Prestashop store is installed under the /shop/ folder, as evidenced by this product URL http://getvolt.dk/en/shop/volt-portable-charger But the image you are complaining about does not have /shop/ in the URL, therefore you receive a 404 page not found error, which seems correct http://getvolt.dk/330-home_default/reading-festival-2016.jpg If I add /shop/ to the URL, then I no longer receive a 404 page not found error http://getvolt.dk/en/shop/330-home_default/reading-festival-2016.jpg

I have not tried deleting/regenerating the .htaccess, how do I do this? I see the thing with the /shop/ url, but this one: http://getvolt.dk/en/shop/330-home_default/reading-festival-2016.jpg redirects me to a page rather than a picture? And if I try it on a picture that works: https://getvolt.dk/280-home_default/t-in-the-park-2016.jpg, it doesnt work if I put in /en/shop/ in the url. EDIT: I tried regenerating the .htaccess by disabling and enabling friendly url. Regenerate thumbnails, clear cache, regenerate thumbnails again. It haven't changed anything. The reading image is here: http://getvolt.dk/img/p/3/2/9/329.jpg but it seems like it's not able to generate the thumbnail as it just 404's when I try to Edited January 7, 2016 by kasperfogh (see edit history)

But if your shop is installed under a 'shop' folder, then your Base URL needs to be /shop/ and you need to have the .htaccess file updated (that should happen automatically)
