PrestaShop as a subdomain

Hello,
I have set up shop on my server in folder "shop" and then I created a subdomain pointing to that folder. When I go on that subdomain, the website is displayed partially(the only thing that is displayed is what's on the index page) and all the links are broken as they are pointing to subdomain.mydomain.co.uk/shop/ which is wrong. How do I set it up correctly ?

I want to do the same thing and have the same problem. Have you solved your problem yet? If yes, how?

I have the shop installed in a subfolder of the main domain (/shop). I have created the subdomain to point to that folder. That works.
Now in the BO Preferences/SEO & URLs there are a few settings that looks like they are related.

In PS directory I have /shop at the moment and changing it to nothing /
Homepage file I dont change it. (index.php)
Shop domain name I change it to shop.mydomain.com
I dont have ssl.
Friendly URL is yes.
Automatically redirect to canonical is yes, but tried with no too.

The result is not good. I can see the content of the first page for example, but images are not loaded. It looks like all the css files are still pointing to wrong image location. Very messy.

Your help is much appreciated if you have solved this.
