horizonit2
Hi, My customer has a 1.6.1.3 store that is behaving very oddly, it would appear that new products are giving the error "You do not have access to this product". The strange thing is that we have two nearly identical products, the old one displays and the new one doesn't.Here are the examples: OK: www.mantasdegrazalema.com/en/blankets/wool-plaids/celestial-sofa-blanket Fail: http://www.mantasdegrazalema.com/en/blankets/wool-plaids/khaki-wool-sofa-blanket Apart from the text and images these two products are IDENTICAL on the product edit screen. I've checked the database _product table and all of the entries are the same. I've hunted on the forum and lots refer to damaged group or category tables. Our tables are not damaged and both products have the same categories selected. I'm more than a little stumped, I've been hunting through the DB looking for any setting that might be different between the two, but I can't see anything obvious. Anyone have any ideas where to look? Cheers Paul Horizon IT

horizonit2
Hi Tuk66, That's crazy!I can now see the failed one too. Could this be some sort of caching issue on some products? OK, can you see this one: http://www.mantasdegrazalema.com/en/round-caps/tartan-round-cap Cheers Paul
Simonas Invertus
It's okay with 2 first link but the third gives: There is 1 error You do not have access to this product.
horizonit2
Hi Simonas, Thanks for that, at least it's not just us! I've checked this failed one against an almost identical product: OK: http://www.mantasdegrazalema.com/en/round-caps/mink-round-cap Failed: http://www.mantasdegrazalema.com/en/round-caps/tartan-round-cap The products appear identical, apart from descriptions and images. Categories are the same. I can see me having to debug the code to track this one. Cheers Paul
Simonas Invertus
I am not sure what you changed, but now I have no problem accessing the link. Can it be cache related?
horizonit2
OK guys, I've just managed to get that one displaying! I was checking the DB and found "partially" deleted product entries, so I deleted then and the new product displayed. I'm wondering if the pretty URLs we clashing, duplicates and therefore it couldn't work out which product to display? Thanks for your time!! horizonit2
Hi Simonas, Thanks for looking. We had deleted an old version of the product, which wasn't displaying. Then re-added it, but it still failed. Looking around I found an old version of it still on the system, so I deleted it and then it displayed. ecentury
Presta does not have any group permissions that you can set by default for the the products, you can only set group permissions in categories. The solution to the problem when you encouter 'You do not have access to this product.' is to go to the category of that product and make sure all relevant groups have access. The error should be phrased better, i.e. 'You do not have access to the category that this product is in, and therefore cannot see this product.'
