dreff
Hello,I have exactly the same problem : I'm getting 'Restricted access' on the modules tabs. I'm not sure, but it seems to be a problem with write authorizations on some subfolders... Could you please explain how you have solved your problem? Thank you! Clipjack
Hi there,I'm not certain this is the correct way to do this and before you do anything please make sure you have backed up your database. Bear in mind this was my third installation. My first was fine but I messed it up trying to move folders around and decided to start again.1) I completely deleted my second installation of Prestashop from my hosted public_html folder using CPanel File Manager. - Please note that I hadn't done anything with the shop other than upload my logo, so I figured it was worth doing that. Otherwise if you've done a lot of work you might like to back most of it up.2) I uploaded the unzipped files from my hard drive directly into the public_html folder using Filezilla. I installed Prestashop again and this time I was meticulous about following the installation instructions in my host's tutorial, http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/prestashop/prestashop_installation.htm . You will have to create another sql database.3) I realised that I had not used the same email address, log-in details and password for my second installation as I had for my first (which worked fine), so I went back to those original settings during installation and everything now works perfectly. Could be complete fluke, but there you go. So it may well be a problem concerning write authorizations but for me given where I was at it was probably quicker to start again from scratch. I hope this is helpful.Best wishes
dreff
Hi Clipjack, thank you for your quick reply. As you suggest, I finally decided to restart from scratch. I tried some chmod on the administrator subfolder without any success so... I think that I won't install Prestashop on the root folder one more time because I read some threads about issues of doing that.Let's see!Yours.
