Auto-Create Invoice As Pdf File In Folder

Hi,

 

When an invoice is sent to a customer (thus created), is it possible to automatically save this invoice as pdf in a folder on the ftp site? I would like to create a bash script on my Linux box that periodically peeks in this ftp folder for new files and then automatically prints the invoices on our printer.

Would it not be easier to find/make a script that auto-downloads that pdf to your pc or dropbox and then use hot folder to automatically print it?

 

(I am interested in a solution that can auto-download that pdf for me.)

Hi Havana,

 

First thing is to generate the pdf - before it can be downloaded :-) So that's the part I am trying to figure out. The download and print part is easy peasy.

Thank you for the suggestion. It requires an instant on pc running Windows so that is not usable for us. We're seeking a simple solution that will store new invoices as pdf in a folder on the ftp site.
