littleeglantine
Hello, I have just completed the copy/pasting of the prestashop files from a folder 'Prestashop' to the root directory. I use Hostpapa and have installed Prestashop through controlpanel. When going to the 'Admin' url from the controlpanel, I get the following error: "Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request." I edited the admin URL on the cpanel install path, updated the shop-url and settings.inc php files. I got part of the homepage back and understand my next step is is to refresh the URL's. But to do this I need to access the backoffice. I did login the phpmyadmin to update the Uri directory to just / instead of /prestashop/. I also updated the permissions of settings.inc to 755 without much success. Any advice is welcome. Thank you. Stephanie.
MacRoy
Hi Stephanie! What have you named your admin directory to? then enter it along with your address, for example: mystore.com/admin1234/ you should be able to get into the Back Office. And i recommend you to test also with chmod 777 -R on the installation catalog. Regards MacRoy
littleeglantine
Thank you MacRoy! I have actually figured out that when I transfered my Prestashop files to the root directory, I lost the Admin123 file, so I could not access the back office anymore! But thankfully I had kept a back up and I can now access the backoffice. Thanks for your tips!
