Homepage Loading/rendering Slowly

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I need expert advice.

I have a customized theme and my homepage is loading slowly. It takes time before the page gets rendered and my homepage looks messy for a few seconds before everything falls into place.  :(

I am not sure if it is a js or css problem, or maybe something completely different.

I asked the theme developer and he wasn´t really helpful.

So if someone could point me to the right direction to solve this issue, it would be great

The homespage is : http://www.koodakoo.com/

Thanks in advance  :)

Hi,

First of, it seems you CCC parameters are desactivated - this mean numerous files get pushed which is not optimal.

While on this Advanced parameter panel, check that the smarty cache settings are set to cache yes, and on recompile only if something get changed

The manufacturer carrousel module is loading numerous images, should the CCC be correct the issue will be mitigated.

Your media server aparat.com is pretty slow to respond, specially hw9.aparat.com and hw8.aparat.com.

If you like you can PM me so we can have a deeper look on the various modules that may cause such "behaviour"

Best

doekia,

Thank you for your quick reply and help.

The Cache is on (recompile only when files are updated).

I had issues in the past with the CCC so I had deactivated them. I just had apache Optimisation on.

I followed your suggestions and turned on Compress inline JS in HTML and Minify HTML ... It is a little better now :)

But my site breaks when I turn on the smart cache for JS or for CSS :( so I have kept them disabled.

I have reduced the number of images displayed in the two carousels in the middle of the page to 5 images each (so not using carousel function anymore) ... that has improved the rendering. These two modules seem to be the cause of my issues

I will definitely PM you.

Thanks a lot,

Faty
