Please Need Help To Solve: List Of Products In Search.tpl

I want to show the best-sales products if the search.tpl is empty

 

I thought just to include the best-sales.tpl in the if-else tag from the search.tpl but this is not working, the best-sales list says it is empty (however it is not)

 

If the search.tpl is empty this is not a good commercial look, I want to give my customers the possibility to do a new search (show the searchbox again) but also show a list of best sales, maybe they should buy something from that list.

 

Commercial this is the best way, not to show an empty page with the messages no results found.

 

Someone can tell me how to change the search.tpl ?
