lepusa
The following example is not actually our line of business, but it does a great job of describing our needs. We run a deli and have two product lines (top level categories): A. Meats B. Produce We have set up special customer groups in order to have specific pricing for A & B above: • Customer Group #4 is for customers who purchase Delivered Meats at wholesale prices • Customer Group #5 is for customers who purchase Delivered Produce at wholesale prices • The default Group in the system is Retail Our wholesale customers may belong to 1 or more wholesale groups: • Delivered Meats (Customer Group 4) • Delivered Produce (Customer Group 5) • Delivered Meats & Produce (Customer Groups #4 & 5) Catalog items # 1-200 are Meats with only two price levels: • Retail Pricing • Specific Pricing for Customer Group 4 Catalog items #201-500 are Produce with only two price levels: • Retail Pricing • Specific Pricing for Customer Group 5 When a customer belongs to a single group (#4 Delivered Meats or #5 Delivered Produce), it works well with pricing being accurate. If a customer is assigned to both #4 Delivered Meats and #5 Delivered Produce, and one of these groups is chosen as that customer's default group, then the prices for their default group show up fine, but prices for the other group don't show at all, only prices for the store's Default Customer Group (Retail). For example, if both #4 Meats and #5 Produce are assigned to a customer, and their Default is #4 Meats, then the Meats are displayed at their correct wholesale prices but the Produce is displayed at Retail pricing rather than the wholesale pricing associated with that Customer Group Specific Price #5 in the Catalog. For example, if both #4 Meats and #5 Produce are assigned to a customer, and the Default is #5 Produce, then all Produce is displayed at their correct wholesale prices but the Meats are displayed at Retail pricing rather than the wholesale pricing associated with that Customer Group Specific Price #4 in the Catalog. Is there a way to achieve what we want? We're not against using an add-on if it's a bulletproof solution.
