Prestashop mailing modules - safe from spam filters?

I've been told that it's better pay for those proper emailing services like iContact because they make deals with the various ISP's to make sure their emails aren't blocked or picked up as spam. 

So I'm wondering whether any of these Presta modules - as well coded as they might be - are going to end up getting my newletters blocked?
