Can't send e-mails to customer back office

Recommended Posts

Prestashop can't process the email then.

Did you change domain stuff in your B/O?

Did you switch web hosts? If so do they support phpmail or are you using smtp?

have you switched your smtp info to reflect your new domain name if that is what you're using?

Back Office > Preferences > Email > Set my own SMTP parameters. For advanced users ONLY (Click the radio button)

Then you'll have to enter in all of your smtp settings for your email account. If you don't have one, gmail should work fine, just set up an email account through gmail and follow their instructions for smtp settings.

What works fine?

Be specific, until now, it hasn't worked fine. The sending of notifications when the order is placed? The message that is sent from the contact us tab? Or updating the info in the smtp tab?

Just because it takes the info in BO, doesn't mean it's processing the email.

Have you tried copying over the AdminOrders.php file with an original, just in case a line got changed?

Sending email from Contact Us formula works fine.

Sending notifications when orders is placed is the problem see picture.

So changing the smtp tab would remove this problem?

OK - by notifications when the order is placed I mean when a customer places an order on your site do you receive an email?

Second, if the contact us is working then your email settings should be fine as is.

If the problem just arose since switching, there has to be something different between this host and the last.

That's where your answer is going to come from. We had MASSIVE issues with our webhost suddenly not supporting certain PHP forms. Finally got fixed but it was a hosting issue, not a problem with prestashop even though prestashop was giving us the error.
