salarflies
So a client just called me up to say that he could not place an order because the cart said this "An item in your cart is no longer available, you cannot proceed with your order." He had created his cart and left it for a few days. When he returned one of the products in the cart had gone out of stock. He had 80 + products in his cart and had no way of knowing which one was out of stock. How do I resolve this problem? Many thanks
tuk66
This is not a problem. It is quite normal that some products in the old cart are sold. The message "An item in your cart is no longer available" just inform you.
salarflies
Tuk66 Of course it's a problem. If you have 50 items in your cart it does not identify which is out of stock and it does not let you proceed with an order. The only solution is to take one item out at a time. Great customer experience!!!
tuk66
It is nobody's fault, just an informative message. It is easy. Put all products to the cart and immediately order, or disable stock management. You can't do more.
salarflies
Tuk66 Yes presto shop could do a lot more. For example Product XXX is out of stock please remove it from your basket. Rather than saying One of the products in your basket is out of stock, have fun trying to work out which. It is quite simply poor design.
