Connection Error with Stripe

Hello,

 

I have been experiencing issues with my Stripe module the last couple of days and I can't seem to figure out how to resolve the issue.

 

I've already spoke to a representative at Stripe and they informed me that there are no issues on their end, and that it might be a communication error on our end (not sure what that could be).

 

This is the error message I receive on my Prestashop Customer Orders page at the very bottom:

 

Could not connect to Stripe (https://api.stripe.com/v1). Please check your internet connection and try again. If this problem persists, you should check Stripe's service status at https://twitter.com/stripestatus, or let us know at [email protected].

(Network error [errno 28]: connect() timed out!)

 

These are the versions that I have:

  • Prestashop: 1.5.5.0
  • Stripe: 0.9.5

If someone can please help me determine what the issue is and let me know how I can go about solving it, it would be greatly appreciated!

 

I am completely lost and have no idea what to do...

I checked with my hosting provider to ask if there was a firewall being put up that may be blocking the communication between my website and Stripe, but he informed me that everything is fine on their end.

 

I'm thinking that there might be something wrong with the module?
