Special category for charity items - how to configure?

Hi all,

 

I have my multistore shop with one root category and many subcategories. Prestashop doesn't allow to assign more than one root category to the shop so I would like to know, what is the best way to configure the items to sell for charity, which will not appear in basic statistics, and will not appear in most selled or new arrival items on the front page?

 

I don't really know how to split the charity products from the rest of my e-shop, just to avoid these to be shown on the front page.

 

Imagine you sell e.g. watches and want these to be on the front page, but since you have sold enough of the charity items, you will have the mixture of these two, which I don't want.

The home page would require some changes in the product-list.tpl template. You need to skip the product in the loop when it belongs to a category with a specific ID.

And also some additional parameter in the blockbestsellers-home.tpl letting know the list to skip those products.
