MarikaSESNordic
I'm trying to setup a multistore with one language per domain (english on .com, swedish on .se etc) but I'm not getting it to work like I want. I've managed to configure the domains correctly but if I set the language to swedish only on .se and english only on .com then the flags for switching languages disappears. If I set all languages available for all the domains but default language swedish on .se and english on .com I only get .se/sv and .se/en etc. Is it possible to have one language per domain and correct way of switching language (the domain changes) in standard Prestashop or do I need to buy a module for this? I have version 1.6.1.1.
El Patron
Here is my advice: Assumption, you are sharing cat/prod/etc. between the two shops | the cat/prod/etc. are in both en/swedish You would then want to keep both languages for both domains. Why? Because this gives you double the links for both languages for both shops (when you run sitemap and search bots. Because you use ccTld (.se), then that will be organically served ahead of .com for visitors in Sweden. Because you have only one gTLD (.com), then you are not penalized for duplicate content when paird with ccTld (.se). I hope this helps..
