How to displayleftcolumn on product page

Hello

 

I am looking for your help as I have a commercial theme and the provider dont want to help me find a solution on how to enable the left column basically on all pages except the index  (home) page.

 

Any idea much appreciated.

I am afraid no one here will be able to help you unless you give more information.

 

But it seems difficult to understand that the developer will not help you.

 

If the developer is declining to help then perhaps their are other problems.

Hi.First check preferences/themes/advanced settings,scroll down to see if from there you can enable/disable the left colum and then: go to modules/positions scroll down to displayleftcolum and unhook the modules from the home page(ofcourse from there you can hook the modules to each page u want also).I am not sure if something like that will resolve your problem,but u can try it.Regards

I dont have option in my theme setting to enable left column on product page, only on new cms pages...

 

I dont know what other details I could provide you but I will be more than happy to answer your questions.

 

I dont know why the theme provider is not giving me a solution or if is something more but he just answered me :"Only if you customize a template. There is no simple solution."..

The page is really poor without a left column and difficult to navigate .I need more the category block to be displayed on each page, maybe there is another way of having the category block on product page?
