Customers having issues logging out and logging in! Why? Help!

We launched the new prestashop website yesterday and we are running into an issue where 

1. customers who can manage to log in - cant log out. They click the logout button but it does not do anything nor log them out.

2. other customers go to login, and then after they attempt to, and click on another page it asks them to log in again.

 

what is causing this? 

I attempted to see for myself (used Chrome, IE and edge all same result) I was able to login, but not log out.

 

I received about 12 support tickets on this issue all day yesterday, so I need to get this fixed.

is there  a solution?

 

I searched through the forum, and havent found any direct answer for the issue.

Any help would be appreciated as I dont want to loose customers. (I have faithful ones weekly.. and those are the ones having issues)

I registered, was logged in and also was able to logout using IE. However, you do remain logged in if you put anything in cart.. (which is good actually).  Your web looks great.

Chrome I noticed is still an issue as well as the mobile version. For some reason you have to click log out at the bottom of the page for it to work.

Think it may be something I need to add to the htacess file?

OK so solution was found. it was the htaccess file.

I added:

ExpiresDefault "access plus 1 days"
ExpiresByType text/html "access plus 0 minutes"​

 

and all seems to be working  so far.
