Soon, the latest PHP version supported by PrestaShop will be PHP 5.4. To make sure you’re ready for the future, we recommend you to upgrade to PHP 5.4 now! I went to cpanel. submit the version as 5.4. Then my back office has problem 500 internal error. I therefore changed it back to version 5.3.29 Have I changed the php version in the wrong place. Best thing is look at the various logs, such as your prestashop error_log, your domains php log and your domains server 500 error log. It should work fine under 5.4, at least mine does.
