Andrej Stas
Hi guys, I have 2 questions/notes: 1. Have you noticed, that these modules are not included in the basic installation of PS 1.7.0.4? - ps_advertising- ps_bestsellers- ps_brandlist- ps_newproducts- ps_specials- ps_supplierlist- ps_viewedproduct I wonder what the reason is, since they are all pretty useful and general. Any comment from the developers? 2. I wonder why is the file theme.css minified in the basic theme? Of course, it's possible to use some tool (like www.cleancss.com/css-beautify/) to make it readable again, but what is the point of having CCC option for CSS in the backend when it's minified already? Traumflug
2. I wonder why is the file theme.css minified in the basic theme? Of course, it's possible to use some tool (like www.cleancss.com/css-beautify/) to make it readable again, but what is the point of having CCC option for CSS in the backend when it's minified already? I think you're expected to not modify CSS, but SCSS files. On how to compile/transpile CSS from SCSS see https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/538034-help-using-webpack/?p=2376769 and the following answers there.
Traumflug
This is a commercial trap and you will have to buy all the basic modules. Works with lazy communities, only. In active communities, such modules, in case they ever appear, are simply replaced by free ones. ... says somebody who maintains currently 167 commits on top of 1.7 releases. About 30 commits for bug fixes and feature enhancements, about 30 to reduce functionality (for speed & KISS experience) and the remaining ones to change the default theme to a custom one. Andrej Stas
Forget the 1.7 ^^ This is a commercial trap and you will have to buy all the basic modules. Bugs have not been fixed I don't think that is a "commercial trap"; the modules have been already developed and they all work in PS 1.7.0.4. I just wonder why they are not included in the basic installation anymore. Edited January 13, 2017 by Andrej Stas (see edit history)
Traumflug
I just wonder why they are not included in the basic installation anymore. This reduces distribution file size, speeds up initial installation, many people don't need such modules and installation at a later point is trivial. So far, removing some 25 modules was always the first step after installation here, looks like this got easier now.
reno123
Hi, It's great that BS 4 is introduced ! It's very usefull. Does someone know the good reason for why the Presta team changes some class names in BS 4 ???? ex. float-sm-left is changed into pull-sm-left What is the point of doing that ??? So far, removing some 25 modules was always the first step after installation here, looks like this got easier now. The irony is that the PS v1.6 package size was 20mb. The PS v1.7 package size is 54mb. Removing 25 modules to reduce distribution size was certainly NOT the reason

maofree
the 1.7.01 is a beta version so they release some beta versions for some time, in this time they release minor release to fix some little bugs try to look at the change log to understand what they solve in all versions byeeeee
endriu107
Am I blind because I cant find DELETE button in module list PS v.1.7.0.6 ? If there isn't that button this is not safe solution for user without any skills, because when someone sell or share with community his module and this module will be vulnerable we need to login to ftp account and delete it manually. Not all user know how do that.

3DStudio
Hello Xavier, I plan to redo our site on prestashop 1.7 as soon as possible... I plan to use github to synchronise my own dev with the different next releases of prestashop 1.7 (and wait that the version is stable enough to lauch in production). บาคาร่าออนไลน์ You said that the first beta relase would be ready before end of 2015, please can you tell me if there will the possibility to pick up this version on the github with the possibility to update manualy our date base lauching the commande in install/upgrade/sql/1.7.0.0.sql I don't know if i'm clear... Thnks a lot. don't wait for an answer, go with Prestashop 1.6 its stable! Prestashop 1.7 is still buggy, check the forum, the french developers call Alpha Products "Stable" And they don't have an ear or eye for the community, I asked so many times to remove ID's from url's what happened? NOTHING! Those ugly ID's are still there and Prestashop has the worst urls for the products and categories with those ID's! Those ugly ID's are still there and Prestashop has the worst urls for the products and categories with those ID's! They will never remove, cause Prestashop needs this ID's. It is the basic of their data logic. BTW the remove of these ID's bring you nothing. It is proven that there is no SEO impact or any other surplus on removing the ID's. This is why you will have no replay on this bid, There are sever discussions on the forum about this. It is only a wish nice to have, but not a NEED to have. Fact is, google recommends clean url and not urls with ids so if you belive IDs has no effect to SEO, so you can use it with ID's but I need Prestashop without ID's! Magento removed it, Shopware removed it Oxid removed it Gambio removed it ... but Prestashop still has it!
