Importing data from foreign database to prestashop

Hi,

 

I would like to migrate my data to prestashop and import them from my old database (it is home made, not from magenta or another prestashop like).

 

I know I will not have all my former data, but I suppose I could use prestashop web services and add a module to send them to my former database.

 

Do you think it is possible ?

 

Do you know some templates or scripts that can do this kind of import ? I want to be sure to add data in every good table (for example, I saw that when I create a customer, I may also have to add a field in the address table....)
