simberak
Hello, I would like to upgrade from 1.4.5.1 to newest version. I tried it with automatic upgrade, but I guess because of lot of core modifications the upgrade didnt go very well... So I got an idea to rewrite my custom version with downloaded clean 1.4.5.1 by ftp and then run the upgrade. Is it good idea wich could end with the right upgrade? THanks for help
Simonas Invertus
The main issue is core modifications. If you rewrite your PrestaShop version with clean one, you will loose all your core modifications and all functionality associated with them. Also after upgrade some modules may no longer work for you.
musicmaster
So I got an idea to rewrite my custom version with downloaded clean 1.4.5.1 by ftp and then run the upgrade. Is it good idea wich could end with the right upgrade? The most important things to do before starting the 1-click upgrade are: - disable all non-Prestashop modules - switch from your custom theme to the Prestashop default. 1.4 themes very often don't work with later versions. Only if that doesn't work you should consider more radical methods.
