zaglebie
Since few days i cant add anything to cart under Firefox because i get blank cart with message "Your shopping cart is empty"It happens on every browser/computer even on mobile firefox. I've downloaded Maxthon browser and same thing. ALL Gecko-based browsers are affected. My firefox privacy settings are "never remember history", when i use custom settings where cookies/history is stored then when i manually delete cookies of my website then I CAN add to cart. But when i clear all cookies and history problem happens again. It never happened before.I thought that maybe its because i've added domain.com (without www) to shop url (i have multistore enabled, right now i have 2 urls with and without www). But when i delete url without www then nothing changes so i dont think its a problemYesterday ive tried everything i've turned off multistore, turned off friendly urls set only domain.com as shop url, turned on friendly urls again etc and after some change shop started working under firefox, even under 'never remember history' settings, just like it was earlier.Today im checking website and guess what, problem is back.. WHAT THE HELL is going on, any ideas ? Edited October 20, 2015 by zaglebie (see edit history)
zaglebie
and what is even more strange, i've checked that mobile firefox is working correctly right now, i dont know how to explain this
El Patron
Hi, I do not have issue with firefox http://screencast.com/t/hs8zIpi9dp I've seen issue where 'only' I could not add to cart on my own shop(s). drove me loco...it was only me...nobody else had the issue, that did not help me sleep any better. then one day I was doing doing some work and found my connections tables were huge so I emptied them... then magically I could add to cart. http://screencast.com/t/ZwonXoZG back these up (export) then truncate or otherwise delete all the data in these three db tables. hopefully that will help you... zaglebie
nope problem still exists, if you clear browser (cookies/history) then im sure you will get same error - empty cart Edited October 20, 2015 by zaglebie (see edit history)
El Patron
nope problem still exists, if you clear browser (cookies/history) then im sure you will get same error - empty cart yes, that is normal behavior, if you clear cookies you will lose cart. That would happen in any browser as PS uses cookies to track id to cart....
zaglebie
i know i will lose the cart, is other thing, when i have browser cache/cookies clear and i enter my website then i cant add anything to cart, it says your cart is emptyi found out what is the reason, i have SSL turned on and multistorei have two shop urls enabled, 1) domain.com 2) www.domain.comit is all working fine when only www.domain.com is set as shop url, when i've added domain.com then error (empty cart) started showing upwhen i turn off SSL then everything is working even with 2 shop urls (with and without www), so its clear that addition of domain.com (without www) as shop url with SSL turned on is causing empty cart error. question is WHY ? Rolige
Keep in mind one thing, www.domain.com is different to domain.com Try something... - Go to your BO > Advanced Parameters > Multistore - In the left block with title "MULTISTORE TREE", click on one URL (whatever) - Now in the right block you could change the SEO & URL for each shop - Edit each one and change the "Domain" and "SSL Domain" adding the prefix "www." to get the final Domain and SSL Domain as "www.domain.com"
zaglebie
i already have two entries: domain.com www.domain.com (its enabled as main url) problems started when i've added domain.com without www. I HAD TO add it because it was the only way to remove double redirect, when i had only www.domain.com then when i've entered http://domain.com it was redirected to http://www.domain.com THEN to https://www. double redirect... when i've added domain.com problem was solved and http://domain.com is redirecting straight to https://www.domain.com BUT problem with empty cart started to happen
El Patron
I'm sure I've posted at nausea about url/ssl url being exactly the same else cart does not work. (I think soon to have my retirement party)
zaglebie
what is "funny" i've noticed that website is working correctly if i enter via "www.domain.com" but when i enter via "domain.com" then i have this problem with empty cart and whats even more 'funny' - when i set domain.com as my main domain (currently www.domain.com is main domain) then everything works correctly, but i want to have main url with www. like every other website... gabriiel
These days it is better to have the website without www in front. It's easier to type, easier to remember and for SEO it doesn't matter. It only matters when you want some in-depth technical advantages, which are usually not needed in case of presta e-shops.
