Error when registering new customer

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this...

When a new customer try to register something weird happens. If the "customer registration form", the one where the customer types name-address-password-email is valid and correctly filled clicking the submit button he/she is NOT taken to the next page in the registration process.

Instead the customer is redirected to an url outside(!) the shop.
example... we are here:
(1) www.mydomain.com/storesubfolder/authentication.php
(2) clicks the submit
(3) redriected to www.mydomain.com/

Please note that the customer registration itself IS correctly performed - meaning the customer is added to the database - so when returning to www.mydomain.com/storesubfolder/ it is possible to login (as an existing customer) and continue shopping.

I have done a complete reinstall, didn't help, switched to orginal theme, didn't help.

What could possibly be the problem?

i think i have the same problem,

once the form is submitted the customer is all ready logged in but the forum come back infront of you again with all the fields filled in. And they need to click on register again to be taken to the next screen where it gives u options of tickets, loyalty points, account and so on.

Any help?

I'm having the same problem - when someone submits the registration form, the back-end registration works but it brings the user back to the registration form, with everything filled out, but if they click Register again, then it brings them to the my-account.php page.

And then a side question - anybody know how I can make it go straight to the home page after submitting registration, instead of my-account.php?
