Scheduling the Publication of Products

Hi everyone!
I'm in the process of deciding which shopping cart tool I'm going to use and so far Prestashop is at the top of my list! There is only one concern that I have, is there a way to schedule the publication of products? I want a new product to be posted every X hours or Y days and I don't want to have to manually do it every time.

I originally thought that maybe I could do it with some sort of Cron job but now I'm not so sure. I've searched the forums and can't really find anything relevant.
