back office employees permisions

Hello,
Want to create employee account, which has these permissions:
1. Create new products in his category only.
2. Cant edit or watch other categories.

Cant figure out how to do it. Is this possible?

In employees/profile setup a new profile.

After this is setup click on employees/permissions, choose the new profile, and set permissions as you need.

Thank You for answering. Was trying to do that before posting in forum and was unable to specify which category employee can look it was all or noting. What i want to do is to let Manufacturers (my shops page www.madambazaar.com) login to back office and chose product quantity, because they are selling in on their own too. Obviously i dont want them looking other manufacturers product and editing/deleting them. Hope someone knows a trick how to do that

I've try this method too, but employees with "zero permissions" (for ex. "product uploader") see all orders, users, etc.

It is not possible to restrict employees to specific categories or only products they create in Prestashop at the moment. You can go to the bug tracker and add a feature request and hopefully it will be added in a future version of Prestashop.

This is a critical feature and I'm amazed that after the Engineers have done such a great job they missed this HUGE detail... I'll go ahead and post on the bug tracker.

I would limit the amount of registered products per employee. Ex: Employee (A) could only register 50 products, employee ( could only register 100 products. Thanks
