How to make system copy \ qa from productive system

Hi,

 

can you advise me what is the best way to create a quality assurance \ test system for Prestashop?

 

I am using Presta for 6 months already and want to install one module but so far I was doing everything on my (only) productive instance. There is always some chance that new module can have some negative impact on my shop (some bugs etc) and I think it will be good idea to make some qa system.

The best will be if I can create my qa from my current shop copy but I guess I will have to make some steps to make it working.

Is there a proven procedure to make such copy?
