codegrunt Posted March 14, 2010 Share Posted March 14, 2010 If you are loading up a large volume of products and you are running on a shared host you would be best served by doing this offline first on a local dev machine, exporting the database using mysqldump and then re-instantiate it on the host and upload everyrthing else via FTP.I am currently working with a book database of around 11,000 items and it takes around 10 minutes to do a complete import with images on a local machine.
