Remove 'In Stock' on the product page

I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the 'in stock' message from the product page.

 

I know it disappears when you disable stock control but I still want to use stock control I just don't want to display the messages.

 

The product won't display if it's out of stock anyway so it's just wasted space and a bit unnecessary.

 

Hopefully this is possible in admin or are you gonna  tell me to edit that .tpl file?!?
