Packs - Stock level availablity NOT fed in from product stock level!

So I have been doing some reading and it turns out that if I set up a pack with 2 products in it can;t use the individual items stock levels to work out the possible quantities available for the pack?

Is this correct?

 

Basically:

 

Product A = 105 untis

Product B = 1000 units

 

So the pack should have a possible stock level of 105 and it a person buys Product A then Products A and the Pack should drop to 104.

 

I have all manor of combinations (with or without advanced stock control) but the Pack still shows as "This product is no longer in stock" and only works if I manually enter a stock level.

If this is the case then there has been a major oversight!
