Maximum weight does not disable carrier (1.5.6.3)

I found this error:

 

• It creates a single carrier with BILLING according to the total price (ex 0 - 1000 euro: europe 5 euro)
• Out-of-range behavior: "disables carrier"
• in SHIPPING, location and cost  - Maximum package weight (kg): 30 kg

This happens:

If I order a SINGLE product that exceeds 30 kg the courier disables properly

if I order more items whose sum exceeds 30 kg (ex 5 Items - each 7 kg - tot 35 KG), the courier is NOT disabled.

I tried to simulate on a clean install of versions 1.5.5.0 and 1.5.6.3 and always happens
