fourquet
Hi are you using every languages ? if not, you can delete (in the admin) a language and it will delete all the orresponding lines Guillaume
rossw14
I shouldn't be, but when I look at the stats I have visits from pages that say 'en' 'it' 'us' etc. So I'm not sure now. Is there a way that I can find out? Thanks
musicmaster
Are you sure this is your ps_category_lang table? Normally it isn't that big and it is usually the statistics pages like connections that are swallowing disk space. It suggests that you have very long descriptions. How many languages have you enabled or installed? Every language means another copy of the texts that you add when entering the product.
rossw14
i have one language enabled which is english us but then i have an english uk that is disabled, then i have around 35000 categories all with a paragraph of description, could that just be about right? musicmaster
You could have a look in the database table for how many languages it makes entries - but I would expect it to be two (look at the newest entries...). If you don't use English UK I would suggest deleting it. You may need to delete the entries for it separately as PS doesn't delete them automatically. However, I don't expect it to have that much effect on your site speed.
