AlexHallgren
Hi, I have a problem with a clients shop using version 1.5.6.0. When I show, hide or create new categories, the site loads for 45 seconds before I get an internal server error. The error log says the following: [Tue Sep 29 10:50:58 2015] [warn] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 45 seconds, referer: http://XXXXXX.com/adminXXXX/index.php?controller=AdminCategories&id_category=5&viewcategory&token=dc0fd6303cb49fd80401003aa6b1272a[Tue Sep 29 10:50:58 2015] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] Premature end of script headers: index.php, referer: http://XXXXXX.com/adminXXXX/index.php?controller=AdminCategories&id_category=5&viewcategory&token=dc0fd6303cb49fd80401003aa6b1272a After this, I reload the page and the category appears in the backend, but not on the frontend list of categories, probably because the script was not finished loading? Anyone with an idea of what might cause the problem? I have a clone development site and the update is instantanious there. Thanks, Alex
tuk66
Too small FastCGI timeout (45 s). Ask your server administrator.
AlexHallgren
Yeah, but why would specifically this controller have to load for that long, when the rest works fast.
tuk66
Many categories?
Totti
What is the command to increase the timeout ?
AlexHallgren
I'd say maybe 100 total, categories and subcategories. After raising the FastCGI timeout to 300 I now get a gateway timeout at 60 sec. I don't believe I should have to raise these caps each time my client would like to add a category to his shop. Why would a single controller load for this long?
tuk66
Who knows. It can be a naughty module.
