[SOLVED] JavaScript in Home Text Editor

Recommended Posts

Hi
I'm fairly new to PrestaShop and was wondering if anyone new of a way to insert a JavaScript code into the Home text Editor and it actually works. I have been through every forum about this and no such luck. I've tried the {literal} command as well but still nothing.
Thanks in advance.

I tried Rocky's suggestion, but unfortunately, it did not work for me. I am running Prestashop ver 1.2.5.

What did work for me was the following:

Without having to edit any code I used the following solution from another post in this forum relating to users trying to embed googlemap code (Any javascript for that matter):

“Once you have those go to the page (using FireFox) you need to edit. Whather it's the CMS editor or your home page editor...Then you will have to go to on your webbrowser (Firefox)… Tools > Web Developer > Disable > Disable Javascript > All Javascript.
Now refresh the page (press cntrl + F5). The Editor will now not load. Put your google maps code in and save.
Once you have done that. turn Javascript back on. Tools > Web Developer > Disable > Disable Javascript > All Javascript.
Then your done.”

I did this and successfully managed to load up my dealer application form.

Again, thanks for the assistance Damien
