chinsk35
hi all expert. I am new to prestashop. I have registered a domain name with godaddy and followed the instruction to set up the domain and DNS. My store IP and setting as primary. Godaddy DNS set up, pointing to the IP. (is this setting correct?) when I input the address www.florenceexport.com as below. It direct me to below page, which is Prestashop configuration page. when i click on "View mystore" only go to my page. Any problem with my DNS setting? anything i missed? or how can I go straight to my website when I type www.florenceexport.com. let me know if any information need to be provided. thank you so much for your help. PhilCorleone
You need to show the advanced settings of Host records, DNS servers. From there it would be easy to setup.
chinsk35
do you know your nameserver of your hosting account? your name server would be something like ns1.yourdomain.com ns2.yourdomain.com or might be different. what type of hosting you are usign shared of vps hosting? are you sure about the IP you added at @ entry? I checked Godaddy setting. the nameserver show as ns23.domaincontrol.com, ns24.domaincontrol.com I registered Domain with Godaddy, and I using PrestaShop cloud to create my store. PrestaShop gives my store IP is 192.99.143.140 So added in Godaddy for @ entry by pointing to 192.99.143.140 I found something wired. When I type florenceexport.com in address bar, it success to go to mysite directly. but when I type www.florenceexport.com, it is not direct to mysite. www makes the different. I called Godaddy, they said they are able to visit mysite directly. How come I cannot? Nameserve setting wrong? Thank you and have a nice day.
