variables and download links do not work in plain text emails

Hello!

 

Since I had to switch off html mail sending in the backend, all the text emails I've been sending do not work:

 

they show text like:

 

"Please download here: {virtualproducts}" 

 

So the replacement for {virtualproducts} does not show up (should be a link, right? 

 

 

I've read that there has been a bug with htmlpurifier in prestashop 1.6.0 but mine is fully upgraded 1.6.1 

 

 

As it is now the shop is pretty much useless, the emails work when I switch on "send email as html" and use the html mails but for those customers only getting plain text mail, the situation stays as described above...
