I just activated the Rewards Points module - will my old customers get credits?

Will credits for their past purchases be back dated?

If not is there any way to do this? I want to make sure my past customers are rewarded, not just new customers / orders.

No your old customers/orders will not be rewarded.
I don't know if there is a way to do such thing but I don't think so because the rewards points are calculated when the order is placed.

You could write a sql script and insert points for existing customers if you wished.

I'm having a look in the tables and it looks easy enough. What happens if I don't update ps_loyalty_history and ps_loyalty_state (id_order_state - what does this one do anyway)? Are these mandatory?

Can I get away with updating only ps_loyalty? I just don't want the system to fall over if I don't and they end up being important:)

I face same issue. I have an ongoing offline business that I am planning to integrate with online access. I would like to update past transactions including reward points by manually entering in admin module. Any clues. ?

@noesac : you can update only ps_loyalty. id_order_state need to be set to 2 if you want to generate the rewards in the "available" status.

 

@N N : There's a free module that allows to give points manually, search in the forum. Else you can use my All-in-one Rewards module (an advanced loyalty + sponsorship + affiliation module) which allows to generated rewards manually too from admin.
