Smarty / Cache error in back office after upgrade

Hello, after using 1 click upgrade to go from 1.5 to 1.6 I cannot see any modules in the back office. Only the module page is missing and everything else is ok. I turn on error reporting and it tells me this when I log in back office;

And it continues for a long time. Can anyone help?

Is this not related to my modules page not working? Debug mode in preferences is set to 'Do not open console.' (off) still my module page in back office is missing lots of parts and I am unable to edit, install or even configure any modules. I have screenshot but I don't know how to attach to show you.

It looks like half executed upgrade. This problem is deeply linked to your shop and needs some checks there.
