Loop redirection error with 301 redirect canonical URL

Hi all,

after upgrading two 1.5 websites to the latest 1.6 release (1.6.1.1)

I found a redirection loop that cause error 500 in website homepage if a choose to regenerate

.htaccess file with a "301 redirect" in "SEO Url" -> Canonical URL redirect section.

 

If I choose to regenerate the .htaccess with "302 redirect" or "no redirect" , home page works fine.

 

I am not sure what is causing the problem.

 

I double checked my server configuration and my PS_SHOP_URL table and everything is right.
