How to create a category that display - STEPS?

I have been working on this off and on for a week and still can't find how to create a category. The document are not direct too much information and not getting to the point more like a hint and find.

 

I'm new to PrestaShop and can't locate the "Top horizontal menu" all I know is that the message below say I need to edit the menu with the "Top horizontal menu". What, Where, and How? Please path location and steps will be great.

 

[A new category will not automatically appear in your shop's menu. To display it, you should edit the menu with the "Top horizontal menu" module (when using the default theme), or any custom module you may have to manage the menu.]

i maybe barking up the wrong tree but, to make a category you need to go to:

 

Back office > Catalog > Categories > + (Add new)

Add your category name

Then go to:

 

Back office > Modules > Modules > Front office features > Top horizontal menu

Then click Configure

Then add your category from the "Right" box to the "Left" box and click "Save"
