Merge all customer data & orders from one 1.6.1.1 DB to another

Recommended Posts

I am dealing with quite a few problems after upgrading from 1.6.0.9 to 1.6.1.1

It seems as though, when I performed a clean install of 1.6.1.1 on my test server, I did not encounter these problems.

I would like to wipe my website and database clean, and start over from scratch with a fresh install of 1.6.1.1 however I do not want my 4,500 customers to lose any of their order information or passwords, addresses, etc...

Can somebody let me know which DB tables I will need to export from my existing database, so I can import them into the new database and retain customer data?

Thanks in advance,

-Brian

I made some tool for that purpose.

https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/445453-copy-shopdata-script-for-copying-shop-content-for-upgrade/

It's not easy and rather primitive but it is free and might do the job.

BTW: did you check all your modules and theme when you made an upgrade? Prestashop made quite a few database changes with 1.6.1 and as a consequence quite a few themes and modules don't work anymore.

Hello!  Thank you for your reply.  And first off allow me to thank you for the awesome work you have done on the Triple Edit Script.  I have been using that tool for over a year and it has served me greatly!!  Thank you thank you!!

I look forward to trying this script you made to copy shop data.   can you tell me if this is confirmed to work with the latest Prestashop 1.6.1.1?

Thank you again!

Looks like a good tool and could be useful for me but im having trouble running it.

I have entered my db connection details then when running I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_connect() in /home/******/******/******/******/******/approve.php on line 46

Any ideas?

Thanks
