Add category

Hi, when i add a new category under home, i don't see it on the category menu.

Is possible that is necessary add articles to that category or i must see it also if is empty?

Yes you should see the category. It is always better to build your category tree and then add products.

 

So, have you made your category visible?

Are you talking about horizontal menu?

 

Perhaps a screenshot of your settings would help as you have given limited information.

ok, thanks for your answer, yes i'm talking about horizontal menu. In the example db is configurated under home the women category, dress and t-shirt as sub-categories.

Why i see dress and t-shirt near woman in the horizontal menu? I think that i should see only women in the horizontal menu and dress, tshirt under it when i'm with mouse over or click on it.

My problem is just that, i have groups, categories and sub- categories and would like to see on the horizontal menu only the groups (level_depth 3 of 'category' table).

Is it possible?

Now i've seen that the categories on the horizontal menu depend on blockitopmenu. here they can be configured.

My question now is another. Is there a table in which these catgories are written?

Can i write derectly on it?

In this moment i see 1 category and two subcategories on topmenublock, but i canot find the corresponding values in any table.
