stefanoste
I am having really hard time trying to figure out what can cause this tremendous slow down the new B/O and I still not figure out . incomparable the old 1.6.0.14 version with the new 1.6.1 1 one , to edit a product page takes more than 30 sec and with the old version 6 second , even if the product page load in the beginning (apparently faster ) around 1.7 sec but than the ajax Icon keep spinning for on the rest 28 second , I don`t really think is related to the server side because before updating to the new version was just working like a charm . I have 3 website and 1 still the old ps version and is fantastic the other 2 are the same have the same problem now , I appreciate some advice Dedi server 6 processor 8gb ram 600Gb hd Edited September 1, 2015 by stefanoste (see edit history)

I thought someone may point the problem to the file system and Apache optimization , but I already tried all the possible solution and the problem didn`t change , was the same as before , so I guess is related to something different

Leo Ce
Hi guys,i found on forge.prestashop.com a couple of issues reported already on the same problem.1. http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-6601 - This one is closed by Xavier Borderie after saying that we have to dissable the Merchant Expertise module. The problem is that the problem still persists, someone released a FIX for this BUG on github, but i (personally) don't know how to apply that patch. Also from the dicussion i understood that the fix will be provided with the next release 1.6.1.2 - but NO RELEASE DATE! 2. http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-6686 - This one is still open, and someone seems to solve the bug, but again for NON developers it's hard to understand what to do.so i understand that we just have to wait for the next release and HOPE that it will be soon...

I also found some 'fixed' forge reports. I hope to find time to apply to a test 1.6.1.1 that is running slow on a newer dedicated server. There are reports of this type of issue in forge: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-6601 (as posted by Leo ce) http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-6604 https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/pull/3854/files (this is kinda interesting)

jano.jakubik
Hello. I applied your fix to my Prestashop 1.6.1.1 but I have also only white screen now (for BO and for FO too). So I tried to revert back original file but the problem with only white screen is still here. How is that possible? Do you have any recommendations for fix this issue? EDIT: I fixed this issue! If you have same problem like me only just delete file cache/class_index.php Edited October 8, 2015 by jano.jakubik (see edit history)

n_s_simpson
I spotted last night that the Dashboard relies on the Prestashop.com website working. Their site was down so my dashboard took about 3 minutes to load!!! I've opened a new thread to see how to remove this dependence.
