APCu 4.0.8 - Problems...

Hi Everyone

 

I've been having issues with PS but it's been difficult to narrow down the problem. I knew that when APCu was enabled the normal error pages where replaced with just blank pages but I've now realised that APCu isn't working.

 

I started with version 4.0.6 but the diagnostic page showed that I was getting 100% fragmentation and mostly misses. The pie chart started would randomly disappear too.

 

I upgraded to version 4.0.7 and found that the same thing happened but the start time/date said it was 1970.

 

I then upgraded to version 4.0.8 and the time/date was correct but APCu still didn't work.

 

The way I can easily test if it is working is by regenerating the XML file within the Google Merchant Center module created by Business Tech. With APCu enabled it fails so I did more checking.

 

What happens is that APCu somehow uses up every bit of memory the server has to offer. I've set apc_shm_size so this shouldn't happen but although the setting is accepted in the APCu diagnostic page it's still using up all the memory available.

 

Any ideas?
