Database configuration

Recommended Posts

You need to log in to the cPanel of your website, then go to the MySQL option under "Databases". From there, create a database if it doesn't already exist, then create a user and assign it to the database. Once you've done this, enter the following:

Database server name: localhost
Database name: (The name of the database you created or found above)
Login: (The name of the user you created above)
Password: (The password of the user you created above)

usually the database name should be _ and yes, there should be an underscore. For example iamhost_database (yes I'm original, hehe)

The login is the username used to create the database and also the login for the database.
it should be like: username_databaselogin

Just in case you might get confused, username is the login name you use to log in to the control panel. You know, where you create the database. That could be some numbers and letters in most cases, unless you can actually create your own user name.

And password is...well, the password to get into the database, so yeah, the password you used to create the database. Hopefully this helps, otherwise you'll have to give more info if you want us to help, but you should do that through private mail.
