Issues with email templates

Hi there, 

 

I am working on editing the email templates for when orders are placed and shipped. 

 

There are like 60 emails; which ones are sent when?

 

Is it possible to send a test email to myself?

 

Whenever I edit the email template for "order_conf" I get the following error: Invalid mail name "._error_reporting"

I have changed the email subject numerous times, but it will not change. The email subject for the template "shipped" does not even show (No Subject was found for shipped in the database.)

 

Then when I change the order status to "shipped" I receive the following error An error occurred while sending an email to the customer.

 

Can anyone help me with this?

verify what files contains after you "save" changes to them in shop back office.

there is a chance that there are errors (because of .error_reporting notification)
